Cider Tunes: The Expelled – “Cider

Expelled

Here’s a fun, punky cider anthem for the start of Autumn from The Expelled.

The lyrics tell a tragic tale of not being able to find any cider even though “nothing would be finer than a great big bottle of cider.”

The band recorded this song twice, with gender-swapped lyrics. Here it is with Jo Ball on vocals (where the chrorus is “Sorry luv, ain’t got no cider!”)

…And here is is with Craig ‘Macca’ McEvoy singing (in this version, it’s “Sorry mate, ain’t got no cider!”)

I go back-and-forth on which version I like more.
